Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera (Body Only)
24.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor and EXPEED 6 image processor
The camera comes with a 24.3-megapixel Full Frame CMOS sensor paired with an EXPEED 6 image processor, to provide a balanced combination of high sensitivity, sharp image quality and generally fast performance.
The basic sensitivity range of ISO 100 to 51200 allows working in a wide range of lighting conditions, and can be extended up to ISO 102400 for shooting in very low light.
The combination of resolution and sensor size contributes to producing clean images, smooth colors with natural transitions, and reduced noise across the sensitivity range.
The EXPEED 6 processor also gives the camera high-speed performance, including continuous shooting at full resolution at 4.5 frames per second , as well as the ability to capture 8-megapixel images while recording video .
273-point hybrid autofocus system
The sensor design incorporates a 273-point hybrid autofocus system that uses both phase detection and contrast detection technologies to achieve fast and accurate focusing in photos and video.
The system supports Eye Detection AF, which uses facial recognition to lock focus on people’s eyes, as well as Face Detection for both still images and video, for both humans and animals.
Record video in UHD 4K resolution
The camera supports UHD 4K video recording up to 30 frames per second , or Full HD up to 60 frames per second , with the ability to save clips to internal memory cards or an external recorder via the HDMI port .
UHD 4K video is recorded using a 1.7x crop from the middle of the frame, while Full HD video uses the full frame.
Time-lapse videos can also be created directly within the camera and saved as a ready-to-use UHD 4K file.
Five-axis image stabilization (Sensor-Shift VR)
The camera has a built-in five-axis image stabilization system to compensate for vibration up to five stops regardless of the lens used.
The system supports lenses connected via an FTZ adapter (optional) with three axes of stabilization.
Electronic VR (Electronic Visual Stabilization) is also available when recording video to improve stability while shooting handheld.
The Nikon Z5's body is designed to be comfortable and practical for both professional and amateur photographers.
- The chassis contains a large, clear control button for quick access to basic settings.
- The rear screen is tiltable to facilitate shooting from different angles, including shooting from a low height or overhead.
